  1. Hi

I would like to comment on Alexander Kitroeff article about “Thessaloniki’s Hidden Passion: PAOKomania” that Thessaloniki’s official mania is ArisMania. Also I must say that many of your historical fact are incorrect. for example you write that Paok was the first team outside Athens that won the Greek Championship in the middle 70’s although Aris had already win 3 times the Greek Chamiosnhip (including the first ever!! in 1926). For your information you can visit the sites http://www.arisfc.gr or even http://www.super3.gr
There are many other facts that you mantion and are not accurate and also many facts extremelly important for the athletic history of Thessaloniki (basketball mania all over Greece with the Emperor Aris who remained unbeated for three periods and the whole of Greece was in front of their tv watching Aris every Thursday night, also many facts about Iraklis the oldest team in town, on how Paok took the black and white colours as he losed from Aris and Aek, also that a great percentage of refugees from minor asia supporteed Aris)

I am sure that the distance between the source and your place of work is not helping. So please feel free to ask me for any information regarding the sources or anything else that you might need.

  2. Hi

I would like to comment on Alexander Kitroeff article about “Thessaloniki’s Hidden Passion: PAOKomania”. Its well known that Thessaloniki’s official mania is ArisMania through the last 8 decades. Also I must say that many of the historical facts in thearticle are incorrect. For example you write that Paok was the first team outside Athens that won the Greek Championship in soccer in the middle 70’s although Aris had already won 3 times the Greek Chamiosnhip by that time(including the first ever!! in 1926). For your information you can visit the sites http://www.arisfc.gr or even http://www.super3.gr
There are many other facts that you mention and are not accurate, also many facts that are of extremelly importance for the athletic history of Thessaloniki (basketball mania all over Greece with the Emperor Aris who remained unbeated for three years and the whole of Greece was in front of their tv watching Aris every Thursday night playing in European Champions League, also many facts about Iraklis the oldest team in town, on how Paok took the black and white colours as he losed from Aris and Aek, also that a great percentage of refugees from minor asia supporteed Aris)

I am sure that the distance between the source and your place of work is not very helpfull for your research. So please feel free to ask me for any information regarding the sources or anything else that you might need.

  3. Dear Mr Kitroeff

Thank you so much for your quick respond.
Aris’s championships are written in the history of all ever national championships and also included in every historical book that deals with football in Greece. Paok funs have no reason to complain with your article because you improved too much their real image. Your article is a gift for them!

Finally, Aris played against Panathinaikos on Saturday19 and lost. Of course naturally most of the newspapers are dealing with the amazing Aris funs who once again were the protagonists.

I wonder if you can read Greek. If yes, allow me to send you a book as a gift for this new meeting! Also please visit the websites that I proposed, http://www.arisfc.gr http://www.arisbc.gr and http://www.super3.gr
